Why is the front grill so tall? What’s wrong with a small truck? If I could have a (relatively affordable) sedan with towing power and a bed for the occasional hauling/light towing… that’d be awesome for my use-case. And if it was EV for my daily commute… why is that such a small niche of vehicles? I don’t need much, but damn these big af vehicles. Maybe I don’t understand EV enough, but I’ll take a hit in distance for a little towing if I can charge it at home
That photograph is not the truck discussed in the article. The article (misleadingly, in my opinion) ran a 4-year-old photograph of a F-150 Lightning test model when it was wrapped up like that. And yes, that photo looks just like the current generation F-150.
They should’ve just run an article with other graphics, to avoid the confusion.
Thanks for the clarity!— But still… why would an F-150 Lightning have so much body (be that big)? Wouldn’t the extra weight of the body reduce the ability of the battery? Idk, it just seems inefficient. Hopefully this next vehicle will compensate against the aesthetic of over-compensating? Who honestly needs to, “haul tons daily” VS “just getting around, with the occasional load”?
I don’t understand the appeal, but I guess let’s see what they’re willing to build/sell for $30k? I personally wish it to be practical
Bruhhh, make it rechargeable and I’m sold!. Maybe a little bit longer bed, but I can make shit work! Take away the “full cabin” and give me a little more “truck-bed”; why isn’t this a thing‽
I’ve hauled 10’ft 2x4’s in a Honda fit (maybe scratched the paint a little) and got it done. It’s not often that I need to; but my car is for practicality, not being “tough” or whatever. That’s the kinda shit I’m looking for, so thank you!
If they were smart, they’d probs have a wider base. But, ya know… whadduh I know? I’m just trying to buy shit that works for me. A damn shame we have to eat shit like that…

There is no reason for trucks to have grills so tall mechanics now need stepladders. It’s all just plastic to sell road intimidation.

Silly rabbit, it’s not for “tough”, it’s for the micropenis energy they have.
probably trying to still appeal to the base that buys thier gas guzzling fords.
