Every Tim a guy is named Bruce or something is just a little Easter egg that his parents were hamdoggin’ it to J.A.W.S. down at the drive in theater back in the day

Pretty amazing for its time really. Even for today, to build a waterproof creature that big, and put it through its paces for moths on set. What a feat. Thanks for all your hard work, Bruce.

    Love the film too.

It didn’t fare well. Turns out it had only been tested in a pool, not salt water and it was a whole lot less waterproof than it was supposed to be.

But it wasn’t waterproof. It was constantly breaking down which ultimately led to the benefit of the audience not seeing the shark as often as Spielberg originally planned.

I’ve met Bruce! He was in a discovery museum when I was a kid, along with one of the stuntmen he "ate’. It was so cool for my sister and me, we were obsessed with Jaws movies when we were little.
