When I started learning Linux, fucking things up was mandatory to learn, and deleting a directory would have been done in a few hours without previous knowledge.
You have been working on this stupid folder for days. A name that will never exist in a real situation. My advice: uninstall WSL, reinstall WSL, and move on.

Yes. It’s a 15 minutes job. I did the equivalent a hundred times when I was learning, and I had no web site or community to help me.
