Nationalism does not promote critical thought. Nationalists get emotionally impacted by any criticism of the project their nationalist-brain is aligned with and will write anything no matter how contradictory as a defence. It’s an enormous barrier to critical thinking and the very first thing I do with people is try to remove nationalist brainworms. Even a lot of so-called left wing people suffer from various forms of nationalist brainworms, they have to be exorcised before people think critically and more neutrally.
