It’s creeping in everywhere. It’s insurance companies trying to butt in on the customer base from other companies.
I guess VISA needed to find something else to offer as a loyalty bonus since Mastercard already has travel insurance. Next week you can probably get dental insurance through American Express, or car tow insurance through Maestro.
Pension funds and even unions are also collaborating with insurance companies this way. At a first glance it looks great to be able to offer cheaper insurance to their members, but the result is that existing social health systems and such are being undermined by insurance companies.
