    Good?

Like I’m all for people moving to Canada and becoming Canadian. But lately we’ve been admitting an increasing number of people with a very different mentality; who have burnt all their opportunities in their home country and see us as a backup.

I’ve worked with LOTS of immigrants and hired many as well. I’ll be the first to say most people who move here are great. But the fact remains that a few people actually are lazy and come here with the deliberate intention of mooching off the system. That obviously doesn’t justify racism but I digress.

This is not just coming from me either:

    1. This is what multiple people have told me; who themselves are 2nd/3rd gen immigrants and employers, and saying there are more people coming here to sponge off the system than there used to be.

    2. I know someone from my hometown who did the opposite. Took advantage of Greece’s cheap rentals for immigrants and moved there with the intention of overstaying her travel visa.

So yea makes sense to me that they would have to be pretty strict about letting people come in for FIFA. Perfect opportunity to sidestep the immigration process.

But… what’s the point of hosting a World cup if you’re not willing to invite the world? Or do we now go down the road of hosting the world cup (which I don’t care about) in five different countries everytime, so the hosts can only invite the people “they like”?

          a dui 25+ earlier.

Thats a misdemeanor in the US.

25+ years earlier is silly to block someone, but if “misdemeanor” means minor crime, that’s fucked up.

Anyway, the US turns away people who have ever used weed in their lives. In Canada, it’s legal to use it regularly.

Oh its worse you want to be able to enter Canada w/ a prior DUI you can if you pay around $10k usd for a government pardon.

And with the 10k spent doesn’t guarantee they will approve and will keep the money… So kiddo’s don’t get a DUI if you want to go to Canada.

As for a simple DUI in the US its a minor crime. If you hit aggravated DUI you catch a felony and you’re fucked.

Aggravated is a high BAC, minor in the car, DUI crash with or without injuries, excessive speed while under the influence.

There are more, the Police have plenty of ways to burn you hard if you are do something this stupid.

I know so much as my buddy would bitch up a storm about us going up to go fishing and he can’t go.

They almost certainly blocked most of those people because they couldn’t prove they had enough money to sustain themselves and return.

A very minority of imigrants are lazy like non imigrants can also be yet you are talking about how good it was to refuse the majority of applicants.

Like racists you talk about how you have friends of the group you target. Mentionning thr imigrants you talked don’t make your point more valid. There is imigrants who support ice and supoort the usa bombing their countries

Buddy I’ve spent my whole life being misunderstood by people with zero ability to process nuance.

I know who I am and I dgaf what a bunch of confidently incorrect redditors downvote.

Like I said. A very minority of imigrants are lazy like non imigrants can also be yet you are talking about how good it was to refuse the majority of applicants.

The laziness argument is a well known far right and xenophobic argument
