Microsoft now tells that 8GB RAM is great for everyday use on Surface devices, after years of insisting 16GB was the minimum for Windows 11.

    True. We buy pretty good PCs and they run okay. But if I put vanilla Windows, even Win11, or any Linux, they’re absolutely screaming fast.
