Detonate an underwater charge that weakens one of the bridge supports. Wait while the Russians react, examine the bridge, etc.
A dozen or so hours later detonate another hidden underwater charge on another support a few hundred yards away.
Repeat the process after random delays until so many supports are weakened that the bridge collapses under its own weight.
I would 100% bank on the Russians being mind bogglingly sloppy and do exactly that. If you break the bridge completely the Russian forces could switch to the more costly air transport. But the uncertainty with the bridge might fool them long enough to become a timeless meme itself.
I think the Russians have enough depth near Melitopol that the bridge itself, despite being important is not the absolutely critical supply line it once was.
It is a symbol of Russia’s efforts of integrating occupied Crimea though, that makes it a more important target.
It might not be a spectacular explosion, but the fact thae sbu was able to put over 1000kg of explosives there is no small feat.
Wasn’t that 1100kg of TNT, or a smaller quantity of more powerful explosives with an equivalent power?
For such a target youd think they would have some better monitoring in place at least.

Judging by the video, the Russians seem to have placed barriers around the supports as buffers against this exact sort of thing. The explosion’s centre seems to be at one of these barriers rather than at the support itself. It’ll take another drone to go through that hole and hit the support, I think. Of course, I’m no expert - I’m just trying to interpret what I’m seeing.
Kind of makes me hope for a delayed reaction like the dam explosion in the movie Force 10 From Navarone.

I’m a little confused. The article says it was detonated at 4:44am. The video seems like it’s fairly bright out. Is that just a good low light camera? Or is this a timezones thing maybe?
