What unions are left have been hobbled by laws that say not everyone has to be a member, and non-members don’t have to pay dues, so they reap any benefits for zero effort and zero contributions. What I think is going to happen is things have to deteroriate to the point where people literally can not afford to work and can’t afford not to work, as it was before unionization ever happened here.
