Germany should end a boycott of Russian oil and gas to bolster its flagging economy, the leader of the far-right Alternative for Germany, Alice Weidel, told Reuters as she outlined the party’s ambitions to lead a national government.
Weidel said the AfD can win two key federal state elections in the coming months, describing them as milestones to securing the post of German chancellor as soon as the next national elections due by 2029.
If they ever were a class for hypocrisy, they would have to study this lady. She lives in Switzerland with her Asian wife and leads a xenophobic party preaching traditional family values.
not hypocritical at all.
the only goal is self enrichment
sell out to the highest bidder and peddle whatever works
Nazis are like cockroaches: filthy shit-eaters that you have to keep stomping every time they return.

Unless we prevent that kind of power from existing in the first place.
How?
- Have a hard wealth cap of some arbitrary number, like $10-50 million, enough to comfortably retire on and live a life of luxury, but not enough to buy political power.
- Give workers ownership over the corporations they work for in the form of worker cooperatives (not just an ESOP, but true ownership and governance). This includes trade partners following the same standard if they would like to continue to trade with us (speaking from a US perspective here). The US was able to strong-arm the rest of the world into following their economic model before with the Marshal Plan, and they can do it again.
- Provide a livable UBI tied to inflation along with providing all necessities free of charge, including housing, healthcare, utilities, etc. This will encourage entrepeneurship and artistic creation without the fear of not being able to survive.
- Transition from a representative democracy to a more direct form of democracies. This would effectively eliminate Congress in favor of the people directly writing and voting on laws at all scales of government, from cities and counties all the way to federally. Constitutional amendments can be passed with an 80% popular vote.
- Ban all advertising, especially political adverts.
- Publicize industries that are essential, such as schooling, prisons, food production, power production, healthcare, etc. Ensure that all public workers are paid well.
- Overturn Marbury v Madison (in the US), which currently allows the Supreme Court to effectively enact laws.
- The president should be limited to exclusively make decisions about defensive responses to war, defining defense as a response to a direct attack on native soil. All other decisions pertaining to war are left to the people as a collective, including the power to cancel out a president’s decision.
- The power to vote out any representative of government at any time, should they not comply with the peoples’ demands.
Giving any one person or small group of people the power to rule over a large group of individuals is the source of corruption, whether that power comes politically, financially, materially (one person having unreasonably more resources than another), idiologically (in the form of religious leaders, for example).
If you want to look deeper into this style of governance and need a name for it, check out anarchist idiology, though I consider myself to more “lean” anarchist than anything else. My list of policies are nowhere near perfect or complete, and are just my own, badly organized, America-centric ideas for how a country should be run. For example, I didn’t even touch on policing, and police absolutely have great power over a populace. I think the nordic model of policing and prison is a good compromise between abolishing the police force entirely and the current system in the US, but since that means authority continues to exist, it is not a perfect solution.
Damn, you brought the receipts
Hmmm things are getting a little Nazi in Germany again………
In current polling for the next general election:
AfD is the top choice for Germany:

RN is the top choice for France:

And Reform is the top choice for the UK:

All three are far-right parties.
That’s so crazy, because I remember when they were super tiny and were celebrating entering the House of Representatives (Bundestag) and back then I believe CDU was the strongest party.
I saw a pic of her recently that makes her look like an older Dedra Meero.
German economists should examine whether higher gas prices is the cause of Germany’s economic problems. If it is, Merz has to end the boycott of Russian oil and gas. The AfD cannot be allowed to take power. Hitler came to power because the Democratic Weimar Republic could not control inflation.
Even if that were not morally repugnant, RU has no fuel oil and very little gas to export at the moment. They still have crude, but DE doesn’t have the kind of refining capability that would be able to use it fast enough to make any difference.
Is Alice Weidel so stupid that she would propose something that isn’t feasible? She studied economics and business in college.
I’m sure she’s quite smart, but the Ukrainians have severely damaged 7 of the 10 main Russian refineries, and there are massive queues for petrol reported all over Russia.
I’m in the industry, so if you really want me to dig up the stats on gasoline / fuel oil refining in Germany I can get you that. But Germany has been a net importer of refined products for ages and ages, and that alone should tell you something.
