    And, as I’ve said elsewhere, Nordstream had become politically untenable for Germany. Blowing it up saved the Scholz government a lot of headache.

    That might be why Joe Biden said at a press conference that Nordstream 2 was never going to happen while Chancellor Scholz was standing right next to him and didn’t say a peep. A few days later, it was gone.

    So at the end of the day, who cares about who blew up the pipeline? It needed to go, and go it did.
