If you are challenging my argument based on experience, I’ve been doing IT for years. Screw off. Focus on the argument at hand not faking a debate on provenance of experiences.

I used PDF as an example of businesses routinely juggling multiple formats just fine. If we are talking about special snowflakes requesting particular pancakes, you need to understand MS office docs are spaghetti code they can’t export from flawlessly because even Microsoft doesn’t fully understand how it works anymore. Its layers and layers of poorly documented BS. ODF is a well documented, open, non proprietary industry standard.

You are the one defending the idea that anyone who doesn’t want to pay a ransom to get their work done is weird and insisting everyone else cater to them. I am simply saying “saves as, not save”

You’re huffing glue if you think the MS business model is anything less than a hostage situation. All you have to do to migrate is tell Dolores to move the mouse cursor a little farther south to reach save as to get out.

I work in Siemens (big tech) and I have a small business. On the side my brother in law has a middle sized business and I have worked for them in the past.

You working for IT for yeara is like me breathing air, everybody works for IT, unless argument. Maybe its even proof that you are out of touch, as you live in your IT sector bubble and think the real world works as your corporate IT job procedurea. Its in fact working against your argument when I think about it.

PDFs have literally zero crap to do with juggling excels back and forth and word documents used as templates that have to be edited constantly in small to middle sized business.

Also just reading your lunatic ramblinc about worms ransoms, huffing glue and Dolores… Just speaks volume that you are not here to hear opinions and arguments but just put your of course “correct” opinion on top of everybody and call them names.

Enjoy living in your IT job world boss.

Interesting attempt at reframing the situation. It’s actually much simpler though.

You said something dumb on the internet. I clubbed you over the head with it. You won’t move on. I’m bored and petty and keep responding.

I will say it’s surprising someone allegedly working for Siemens can’t fathom a business not using Microsoft office.
