I used to not refrigerate my syrup. However, that changed when I found a scoby growing in it one day. And some people refrigerate natural peanut butter so that the oil doesn’t separate.
I have seen the brand on Amazon (I know, ew. But it’s one of the few affordable sources to get access to good brands of maple syrup variants and it advertises itself as organic canadian maple syrup from quebec, canada

In what way? Natural peanut butter requires refrigeration, as does any peanut butter you make at home. Maple syrup requires refrigeration. And pizza sauce is perfectly usable after freezing.

Crazy take on my party: syrup is pure sugar. You dont need to keep it that long. Have a taste and throw it out quickly.
It has no health benefits, besides gluttonous non-nutritional calories. A dandelion from the sidewalk is healthier for you.

Maple syrup should be refrigerated even more than sugar syrup.
