It was never trully about guns. The whole situation appeared mostly because of skilled people with decent quality 3D printing equipment are able to repair and recreate products for mere fraction of a cost, compared to what greedy corporations are asking you to pay. Which hurts their business models.
You can cast your own bullets and make your own gunpowder. Making bullets hard to buy won’t stop criminals that use ghost guns.
Neither will adding Big Brother to your print pipeline.
