If a society thinks in individual-aligned manner, it will of course think that his SA stuff disqualify him. But if the society think in a collective-aligned manner then people would care more about the oppression of 3rd world.

So I don’t think just racism explain this, but also individualism. (Which i think has a relationship with capitalism)
