I have a Fluxer login but I keep forgetting to log into it. I’ve been on Matrix lately, and Osmium for another Discord server that was nuked for basically no reason.

I know someone with a Plex who won’t switch to Jellyfin because it’s too complicated, but now is looking for other platforms. I hate to tell them… they’re all complicated.

Then you have some young people going back to flip phones… they’re likely the ones getting laptops, possibly even refurb.

Don’t even get me started on how many people don’t even know what an address bar is. They Google everything.

I mean when you’re paying $260 to $300+ for even a used Pixel (8 is the oldest one supported till 2029 I think), that can be a hell of an investment to make if the thing is nerfed from alternate OSs.
I must say, I haven’t heard of Maemo or Mobian, but I will look into that one. So far the only non Pixel phone I can get anything to work on is maybe a Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet I have… but it was complicated. I think it was LineageOS.
If I could get Mobian on my Galaxy A14…
As most of us in this group probably already know, there’s Ubuntu Touch, which I’ve seen on some phones, even being sold on ebay, on Pixel 3As. There’s LineageOS & PostmarketOS, but they only run on certain phones, and the setup learning curve is challenging. And finally, seemingly the most popular one, GrapheneOS, only currently works on certain Pixel phones, but there is a partnership with Motorola, so we’ll see how that goes. I don’t know if any of these except Ubuntu Touch are considered Linux, though.

Ah, but what else won’t you be able to access?
Stay borked, my friends.
