From a worker standpoint, while you’re researching that thing you can find for yourself, someone of equal skill to you that is leveraging AI has solved 3 of those issues. And someone with more skill has solved 10. And someone with lesser has either crashed the network, or solved that same 1.

This is complete fantasy. I’ve personally watched like 10 SEs decide LLMs are the best things since sliced bread and talk up how much more productive they are and without exception they’re all to varying degrees just worse at their job. Same for every other role I’ve observed as well, though I have fewer data points.

llm could be useful for helping product folks translate their thoughts into actionable items

In my experience it makes them give me an essay instead of 10 lines of bullet points and I have you spend an hour asking questions to whittle it down to 10 lines of a bullet points

9 has good bones but it is made tedious by the amount of backtracking and random battles while doing so. The re releases with the ability to turn off random battles and speedup smooth over a lot of the frustration

I liked heliboard. It doesn’t require network access, has gesture typing that works well, though you have to manually add the library, lots of configuration, and some stuff I use all the time like slide on delete to choose how much to delete and slide on space to move cursor.

Basically it is both private and a pleasure to use (after configuring)

I’ve played FF8 more than any other FF and it’s partially for what the author is complaining about.

I can see complaining about the battle systems because they’re pretty loose, but personally I think it’s fun to play anyway.

The complaint about the characters not having a much of a story I guess is technically true if you compare it to the hamfisted diversions from the main story a lot of rpgs do to force a story arc for a character, but all of the characters feel like they are part of the group for a good reason because of their back stories and they all grow during the game.

I would just have to disagree on the writing. The story is why I play the game every few years. In fact, counter to the author’s claim that it is incoherent, almost everything you do has to do with the sorceresses and history of the garden, without ever feeling like you got sent on an inconsequential side quest in the middle of a crisis.

They didn’t understand the only reason people used it was because it was really cheap before they raised the prices. Most aren’t super hardcore and play games over a few months so it became cheaper to just buy games again. It’s stupid because they had no reason to try to make a sub model except that MBAs are morons and value recurring revenue more than just revenue in general

I think ps3 graphics are good enough any thing higher doesn’t make me more immersed and pulling out of immersion to go “oooo pretty” is neat now and then but not that important. I’ll say I do occasionally stop to be impressed by really good shadows though
