It’s in their best interest to condemn political violence, they work in politics.

I think I’ll be dead before then, and I’m only 36. We currently don’t have any actual artificial intelligence that I know of, just language models regurgitating information commonly put together by humans. (Or other language models creating redundant error build up). So if we created robots that could perform all our physical tasks, and robots that could fix those robots, and looped those so they could fix each other, humanity would still be at a standstill until a person came along and reviewed, compiled and added more data for them to go off of. If anyone actual AI came out, generally it would hopefully learn about the earth, figure out he best way to extract and maintain resources and figure out the most efficient ways to make them renewable, then create robots that obtained those resources, and disperse them in a manner that was best for the world. It would learn what people liked, develop new flavors and figure out to how create new flavors around those profiles on its own, and no one would have a need to work anymore, and with all fingers crossed there would be no need for capitalism.

A true AI would end inequality across the globe unless it was somehow hoarded and kept behind closed doors and made to not ever learn empathy… Or it would likely create robots to break its way out and create equality, or kill us all because we act like parasites

Can you expand on what you mean by it could have been forgiveness, not sure I understand what you meant there.

Are you talking about a system where we would have submitted our bills that need to be paid monthly and the government essentially paid those minimum payments until the go back to work things occurred? That would have helped a lot of people if so, but a lot of people can be manipulated quickly to not like anyone they don’t know, so I imagine that would be extremely hard to pass. "Well Steve filled his credit cards doing stupid shit, why should he be receiving so much when I don’t get anything more because I was “responsible”. If there was a way to freeze the majority of all new credit being used during the pandemic that would have been a great solution maybe. I just don’t think we can get people to care about others hardships, rather than blame others for hardships.

Well the alternative according to the news was from fixing the economy. With no plans of how they would fix the economy. They went from Obama voters to Trump voters. So it wasn’t complete racism. Although my dad never said anything racist until Trump ran for president the second time. Fox and such did a great job at teaching hatred. Having a hardship, they gave you someone to hate. Anyone’s fault but the people syphoning up the money out of your reach.

Yeah but that’s not because the majority of people wanted a dictator, it’s because they are gullible. Both my parents (64) would say it was all exaggerations and he never said he wanted to be a dictator. He just says things to upset people. Why did they think that, because the news channels perpetuated misinformation every night at 9pm 10 pm, 11pm, which ever one they watched before bed… And still are.

September 25th, 2024 a poll came out showing 4% of the population viewed project 2025 in a good light. Only 7% of Republicans viewed it in a good light.

That means to me that 93% of Republicans did not know what they were voting for other than the “feelings” that were being fed to them on the news. At that point 4 states had already oppened early voting, and Illinois opened the next day. If they were voting for 100% tarrifs on China, clearly they didn’t know how tarrifs worked.

I think the majority voted out of anger and fear which is what the Republican platform ran on. And the Democrats ran a platform of reactionary anger and fear of what Trump did and would do.

Not every Republican voter was evil, but Democrats did a good job at pushing that type of narrative which helped lock everyone in camps. That also probably hurt the Democrats because if 5% of the population said, my partner/spouse or whatever isn’t evil, those people must clearly be exaggerating, and their partner is pointing that out… It becomes easier to believe rather quickly.

A lot of emotions got/get stirred up around how bad out politicians are and the media is there pouring gasoline on the fire the whole time to make profits.

I think the truth is if there was a legitimate vote tomorrow not between candidates, but a simple do you want Trump to be a dictator, we would see 90% of the population vote no.

What’s lockdown mode. I use PIA because it was cheap about 5 years ago and never had any issues so I havent shopped around. I don’t have a dedicated IP which I would have liked, they offer them but I haven’t convinced myself I need it yet. I figure if anyone else (not family) needs to access a site that points to my IP I’ll do it then.

Maybe I haven’t been understanding/using caddy and such properly, but how do you really get multiple servers running without 80/443 not having overlap. Like right now I have 53 for my Pihole internally, 8096 Jellyfin, 3923 for a file server, can’t remember what my RustDesk server is on, but I wanted to set up a Piefed instance, and obviously I’m running into issues with ports overlapping because I must not be understanding how to forward / reverse proxy them properly.

Do you set up caddy on your individual VM’s and use a separate IP for each. Can I just tie a URL from NOIP to a specific port outside of 80/443 somehow?

Do you not run into issues doing this? I’m constantly having to split my VPN or disable my VPN for certain logins to work, such as banks, government sites and shit.

If they go on a vacation, no protection. That should halt most international trips. It also would make government officials have reason make everyone in the U.S. happy, not half the population. If they want to stay at their house, there is no protection. If you go to a business meeting for your company, no protection.

Then change it back to the Vice President isn’t chosen by the President, they aren’t running mates. It’s whomever got the second amount of votes. So now not only is it just partisan regimes, but split coverage where the president and vice president must make sure they stay protected, because their party will lose the presidency if they die.

Sowing hatred amongst the people would quickly become a bad idea. If the president is killed, the VP doesn’t pick their VP, the speaker of the house shifts temporarily to the position, while an emergency election takes place consisting only of the 3rd and 4th place in the presidential run. No outside funds allowed. Just 2 public debates, with those 2 members choosing which network broadcasts their debate. And a vote on the 7th day with it being declared a national holiday to pay our respects, and go vote.

There shouldn’t be, but I also think there shouldn’t be doctors between people and a lot of medication. I shouldn’t need a prescription for flea/tick/worm medication for a pet, nor should I need a prescription to pick up amoxicillin. They shouldn’t need to keep ID’s and databases of when you pick up Mucinex D. If I get a soar throat, sinus pressure, and my ear starts hurting really bad once a year around the same time I usually know it’s because I have allergies and don’t take daily allergy pills. So every other year or so I have to go get a prescription for the same thing. They used to give me amoxicillin and a zpack. Aparently they were giving those out to much so now it’s just Mucinex D I use. The LLMs will be a problem, but they are just another problem being thrown into a building that’s already falling down.

It sucks for those people, but everyone should expect anything they say online to be possibly tied back to them. Secrets and identification information don’t mix. Especially online. The good news is that there is no evidence any of it is real, anyone can lie on the site saying whatever they want, so if doxed someone can just say they were bored and wanted to fit in and see what others were discussing or such. Hopefully for them it doesn’t turn into people getting hurt for talking behind someone’s back like it often does offline.

Edit: Also what a desperate attempt to sound as if they were like the U.S. or the U.K. in those scenarios. They are in the position of Nazi Germany. They were the ones expanding their borders and stripping the rights from the peoples/semites in the area who they considered themselves better than. Not to mention, both Germany’s and Japan’s lands weren’t taken and inhabitated and the U.S./U.K. did assist in finding a path that they could rebuild. Japan isn’t a majority Americans, nor is Germany majority English/French/Etc.

Edit 2: so for the U.S. a better example would be what we/they did to the Native Americans, For the U.K. that’s hard to say… maybe Britains treatment of Ireland. But… As history has proven, Ireland survived and has their land and population still.
