There already are transcription services (which are now being branded as AI but are using tech that has existed for 15 years at least). So, surely this startup’s claim is that they’re going to make a more advanced transcription service using new AI algorithms. And as a “proof of concept” they secretly use a human to perform better transcriptions than any existing algorithm does. So in reality it proves jack shit.

Their interface is just a rehash of existing services, the only thing new they could bring to the table is an actually better algorithm, which they don’t have, so they just faked it. Meaning they have nothing of value at all.

So, 17 strikes you’re out.

I am a big fan of cats. However, if they live outside, they are feral. And they should not be allowed to keep living outside.

My preferred solution would be for people to take them in and feed them, but you definitely should not be feeding them while they are still living outside. Outdoor cats cause a lot of destruction to the ecosystem by overhunting small animals such as songbirds, even to the point of extinction.

In this case, I expect that the market is due to tank for real soon, so that would maybe be a stupid move, but it seems like in general someone could literally trade on the perception that they’re an insider (regardless of whether they have real inside information or not) to manipulate the market in their favor.

It definitely varies between people as well. For instance, my sister (with no genetic relation to me) has much better memory than me, which seemed almost superhuman to me when I was growing up. Although, I have since realized that my memory is much worse than average, to the extent where I probably have one or more memory disorders. I’m sure that some people have memory that is much better than average, whether or not my sister is one of them.

What even is her point? Is she afraid of AMAB people seeing girls undress because they might be attracted to them? Because, if so, I have news for her about lesbians.

The only way to fix that is to give everyone privacy. Which you probably should be doing anyways.

What it makes me inclined to do is never use the drive-thru, personally.

You know what would reduce mistakes and speed up orders? Replacing the god-awful audio equipment that every drive thru seems to use. It wouldn’t cost much to install good audio equipment and it would quickly pay for itself in time savings since people could hear each other more clearly.
