What’s your use case? If you want to replace Windows on your device then the answer is not really, however, if you just want a Linux shell then you can pretty much one click install a Linux distro inside of Windows with WSL2

Thats not really a bad thing unless I’m missing something. My experience is that companies would rather never promote existing employees which has lead to people having to job hop to get ahead.

When I first started programming I was constantly thinking the same thing: should I learn this or that language? Will it be useful or a waste of time?, etc but it really doesn’t matter. Nearly every modern language has the same core principles of variables, constants, functions and data structures. Once you’ve gotten the hang of those ideas then switching languages is just a matter of learning the new syntax which isn’t hard when you already know how it’s going to work

I don’t really see how it’s NPM at fault here. This was caused by a malicious actor taking control of an account and putting out bad packages on it. It could happen on any package repository for any language
