Yes, I’m sure they care about NATO.
The only ones I’ve seen get anal about NATO existing are Russians and tankies. Which to me sounds like NATO working exactly as intended.

NATO WASN’T THERE WHEN WE NEEDED THEM
Did the United States, the actual country, get attacked? Someone drop bombs on NY or something?

A good thing, huh? Good for who? Who benefits from destroying a defence alliance?

I’ve already seen “it’s AI generated”.

Unfortunately NASA is always tied up with politics. I would not be surprised if the whole ego stroking speech was a mandate by the current American administration.
Or, if not a mandate, pandering. Because if the politicians in charge of giving NASA its funding don’t like what’s being said, they will likely cut their funding, even in the middle of a long-term successful project.

It doesn’t.

Which translates to:
In other words, all the basic right-wing talking points minus nationalism, religion, and “country first”.

Well… The “wing” of a parliament very roughly represents a political compass. Liberals aren’t left-wing anymore by virtue of having more politically left parties that occupy those physical seats today.
It does create a very funny situation like here in Denmark where “Venstre” (literally The Danish word for “Left”) is a right-wing political party. More right-wing than “Liberale Alliance” (Danish Liberal Party).
But Venstre used to be the left-wing party when it formed. Since then, green parties, socialist parties, communist parties, and various parties adjacent to those ideologies, have formed to occupy the left side of the parliament seats, pushing Venstre’s physical seating position all the way to the right side.
With liberals and moderates being more politically left than them, Venstre now sits right next to the most conservative parties of Denmark. They’re still keeping the name, though.

I don’t think you know what you’re talking about. Moreover, you seem to be lumping a bunch of things together.
Are you American? I could blame that on the lack of a proper representative democracy. Everything gets shovelled together into either one camp or the other, even when they don’t have anything related to each other.

More like the European reality.
Compared to Europe, America doesn’t have a left wing. Just a right wing and an extreme right wing.

From my perspective “liberal” is still right-wing.

Boomers would call it the “fluoride stare”, in relation to some of them believing fluoride in water made millenials stupid.
I dunno. I’d consider it just a dumb generational thing.

… sssssssiiiiiiiiigggggggghhhhhhhhhh
I went with a Fedora distro because the Intel GPU drivers were less of a headache. Guess I must now find another distro…

France.

Ok, let’s see… How do I fare:

Egypt didn’t invade other countries to hijack half its population
Oh yes. Yes they did. Oh gods they absolutely did. As well as casual genocide.
Mansa Musa had slaves as far as the term slavery goes but they had some rights and weren’t used as literal machine cattle.
That depends. Every culture that did slavery had slaves that were worked to death and slaves that were used in the household.
Musa’s personal slaves were dressed in silks and wore gold. But a portion of the still had their balls cut off, and all of them still had owners.
Thw same cannot be said for the slaves outside the royal palace, or all the ones used in the trans-Saharan slave trade, which, I must remind you once more, was Ghana’s and Mali’s biggest trade for centuries.

… Right… Egypt totally didn’t… And Mansa Musa famously didn’t have an industrial scale slave kingdom…

The thing you posted doesn’t address that slave trade existed in Africa for thousands of years.
The trans-Saharan slave trade existed long before colonialism, and the major sponsers of this trade were Ghana and then later Mali (the latter of which profited from the trans-Atlantic slave trade when it started).
That’s just accounting for West Africa, as the red sea slave trade existed during ancient Egypt, and continued until the fall of the Ottoman Empire.
If you want to present facts you’ll first need to be educated enough to actually learn what facts are.

I’m not American. And I’m not dying for anyone who can’t be bothered to learn history.
I’ve heard it a few times before the whole ICE thing in the US. Especially on threads of electric car owners talking about combustion cars.
