  • I truly care about the health of the planet and our many diverse eco-systems. I truly believe in the mountain of science on the subject. I truly believe in the laws of nature. The cycle of life and death that forms the eco-system. I think your vegan farming is just as bad as the meat farmers. Vast tracks of land poisoned to produce soy protein, fuel corn, palm oil and what ever else you need to create such an unnatural diet. I truly believe that eating food you produce and that is local to you is the real ethical choice. A healthy cow farm benefits the neighboring veggie farm, macro fauna increase biodiversity and manage plants. There’s a lot going on in the natural world, I’d rather not see it all get replaced by ignorance, self righteousness and Soylent.

  • Do you have any idea how many animals and bugs suffer at the hands of your monocultures in to produce soybeans and tofu? They destroy the habitat, poison the ground and the water, and make it impossible for most things to live on vast tracks of land. They interrupt migration patterns of larger animals.

You guys must all be small scale organic farmers like me! Surely if you cared about all life so much, you would be doing more of your personal space to accommodate? Shall we analyze your diet Friend? Let us discuss what you were eating and how you are acquiring it.

I still believe the time old tale, no one bothers North Korea because the humanitarian crisis it would cause… they don’t have a scary amount of nukes. Nor do they have the means to deliver them to us.

Lot of people in this sub really don’t understand nuclear doctrine or MAD. They don’t just make enemy’s go away, they just make them point more nukes at you…

  • Thank you! I’m working on ditching adobe and apple currently. one day I’ll be a real linux boi. I have hard drive space just no time to do the transfers and file hunting. If I wasn’t over worked, underpaid and exhausted I would have used a better example. An ASML lithography machine costs 400 Million dollars. So idk how anyone is going to produce chips and be worth less than a billion dollars. OP example needs better numbers. Saying companies can’t be worth more than a billion dollars screams: “I don’t know how anything I enjoy is made!!!” vibes.

  • I was in a world before enshitification I vividly remember the hopes of the 1990s. Watching hand held cameras get into the hands of the masses, expanding art and culture of the time. Watching that turn into YouTube and regular people getting paid to entertain regular people. I remember all the dead promises friend. Supply chains are too complicated to place an arbitrary market cap of 1 billion dollars. it doesn’t make sense when companies now serve billions of people. I’m not going to be able to open up a small business of producing iPhones. That requires an insane amount of resources that you probably cannot fathom if you think a billion dollars is a reasonable market cap. I just wanted to point out that a lot of things you enjoy wouldn’t exist in this imagined rule.

So id love to hear how you reorder the global economy and supply chains under a “1 billion dollar company max valuation” How do you get things like iPhones and server farms that hold a billion peoples data?
