WASHINGTON (AP) — Health officials want you to think twice before buying one of those brightly colored little bottles often sold at gas stations, convenience stores and smoke shops.

Sometimes called “gas station heroin,” the products are usually marketed as energy shots or cognitive supplements but actually contain tianeptine, an unapproved drug that can be addictive and carries risks of serious side effects.

U.S. poison control centers have reported a steady rise in calls linked to the drug for more than a decade. And last month the Food and Drug Administration sent a warning to health professionals about “the magnitude of the underlying danger or these products.”

There is a lot of things wrong with the tourism industry, but a big is them buying up houses to rent out to tourists, which increases the value of houses. Well nato soldiers do a lot of shit, sometimes with permission of or even ordered by their superiors, there are numerous war crimes that have not been put to justice. But that doesn’t mean that it would be willing to bomb civilians as a means when it comes to a war against russia. Nato and putin adhere to very different principles, not just moral ones.

He might not be dumb, but he has been badly informed before. We can’t know what he thinks is true and what he thinks is not. But i agree it would be a dumb move if he went on waging war somewhere else too.

We also shouldn’t forget Russian command will be willing to do things Nato won’t, like bombing civilians or forcing people to join the army. They might for example threaten to execute a pow or retaliate by using chemical weapons. If two parties are not fighting by the same rules, it won’t be all about who has the biggest military power. I think you’re right on their losses not being sustainable, although I think they’ll be more likely to choose more desperate measures than they’d consider retreating.

You don’t need 100% of the population, just the people in power to make a decision and some people enforcing that. Even if 75% of Germans wouldn’t want to fight, you just need the one in charge to give orders to the next in line and it will travel all the way down the chain of command. No way there will be mass desertion because Russia attacked Nato somewhere.

I realised I had a lot of the recommended stuff laying around already, except for bottled water. I usually only drink tap water, but I feel a lot more prepared now I got some.

A lot of advertising is annoying and misleading, even good advertising can lead to people buying stuff they don’t need. I am definitely not pro-advertising but it does serve more than monopolistic capitalism, especially on a more local level.

I 100% agree and totally get why I am being downvoted, but just disabling advertising or banning tracking cookies are not a magic fix to save the internet from the perspective of the companies that now show these ads. But I am definitely I favour of changes, the enshittication went way to far already. But there is more than big social media platforms is what I mean to say.

I’m not a fan of being tracked so don’t get me wrong, but without the money earned with advertising the Internet will look very different and not only in a good way.
