Just show off all your evidence based, slavery-free and environmentally preferable preproducts while those imports are either likely produced by slaves in mordor or evidently produced under worse conditions.

Then apply what our european industry had to pay if they missed requirements regarding CO2 emissions and everything else et voila, no more unfair advantage for production through sub-par standards abroad without any additional paperwork to the new-ish regulations for supply chains.

Unfortunately, speaking for reactions I’m served by lobby groups in german media, our best and brightest don’t think from twelve to noon and instead of making a great PR campaign from what they’re served and push to hold imports to equal standards, but instead crying like a god-knows-what and soiling themselves.
