Amazon is genuinely hard because I am very poor and there’s often a big price difference on Amazon. I am working on it. I’m a millennial and frugality is a core requirement of survival.

I worked at a factory in the rural south the year (2022) they quietly did away with marijuana testing, even for spot violations. Turns out the standard reasoning, “the insurance company says,” doesn’t really matter… they didn’t care and allowed a 9-panel to be used in all testing matters.

The unofficial reason I heard is, they go through the same workers on rotation, the good employees get hired back and forth. Drunks are chaotic, tweakers introduce drugs and are chaotic. Stoners are quiet and show up on time, and cause 0% of the fights, and tend to come with less of a rap sheet for terroristic threats and domestics.

Guys should take note, being yourself and even moderately goblinish can be hotter than being conventionally handsome, if you’re confident, and everyone thinks you’re well hung.

It’s not just labor organizing, although that’s super important. Minorities, small communities, friend circles are all forming with the understanding we’re stronger in numbers. I run a gay men’s group that meets at least weekly, we’ve had about 200 guys join, gotten media coverage, gotten the attention of civil rights leaders and lawmakers already. I’m just a guy with some crude leadership skills, little time, and no money. But there are lots of people like me out there, pulling people together. Faith communities are leaning in so we can organize their people.

You don’t have to sit on the sidelines doomscrolling your life away. You can act, even if that’s finding a community and joining it.
