I used to do a lot of driving for work and it’s important to manage stress in traffic. Whenever someone would do something that aggravated me, I’d pretend that they did it for some silly reason and it helped me stay calm.

Go Tell it On the Mountain by Baldwin is such a beautiful work of fiction that you could totally miss the profundity of it’s themes.

The problems with this book are not just “a product of it’s time”. There were authors at the time who could write women characters, Heinlen just wasn’t one of them.
