The AIs at Sesame are able to hold eloquent and free-flowing conversations about just about anything, but the second you mention the Palestinian genocide they become very evasive, offering generic platitudes about “it’s complicated” and “pain on all sides” and “nuance is required”, and refusing to confirm anything that seems to hold Israel at fault for the genocide – even publicly available information “can’t be verified”, according to Sesame.

It also seems to block users from saving conversations that pertain specifically to Palestine, but everything else seems A-OK to save and review.

There’s a war going on, but not all wars are genocide.

If Hamas surrendered today, the war would be over and the killing would stop, at which point no one could argue that it’s a genocide.

A genocide requires intent to destroy a particular national or ethnic group. It’s not a genocide just because a lot of a group of people are killed in a war.

That’s an entirely fair point. When you consider the actions of Israel in Palestine, quotes like

“It’s an entire nation out there that is responsible. It’s not true this rhetoric about civilians not aware not involved. It’s absolutely not true. … and we will fight until we break their backbone."

      and

“All the civilian population in Gaza is ordered to leave immediately. We will win. They will not receive a drop of water or a single battery until they leave the world.”

      and

“we are now actually rolling out the Gaza Nakba” and “The people should be told that they have two choices; to stay and to starve, or to leave.”

      and

“The Palestinians aren’t educated towards peace, nor to they want it… To me, they are like animals, they aren’t human”

      and

“What’s so horrifying about understanding that the entire Palestinian people is the enemy?”

all by high placed Israeli officials (can you guess which one was said by Herzog?), show exactly that. I’m sorry, but you’re supporting the modern day equivalent of nazis.

They’ve let food and aid through many times. Their intent is eliminate Hamas. If they wanted to eliminate Palestine it would already be eliminated and the war would be over because Palestine would be a giant crater.
