Now this is what life is about. Pull pranks on your friends and family, piss them the fuck off, then enjoy it as they found out it was just a joke. I fucking love it.
They probably thought Phill would eventually find it funny. The fact that he soon reentered the pub seems to indicate that he did. (Though I’ll admit, it’s not undeniable proof.)
As that dude would say, “Get Fucked!” A good prank has everyone laughing, including the person being pranked. This is just being shitty to someone and laughing at their plight in dealing with it. This is a shitty fucking “prank” and I wouldn’t count anyone that treated me this way, for any reason, as a friend. If someone has to chase down the victim and explain the joke/prank, then it wasn’t a prank.
A lot of people learn this kind of pranking from others and they don’t see the harm in it, but it really is toxic behavior. I don’t know why anyone would want to make a loved one feel bad on purpose.
I’m reminded of those actors in those Japanese “candid” skits, who are victimized by some creep and then reassured “Don’t worry, it’s just TV!” and they laugh. Like a normal human.
This is what jerks learned from to diffuse any ghoulish behavior with “I’m just joking, it’s just a prank”.

I love a good prank as long as it’s good-natured, doesn’t damage anything, and doesn’t put anyone in harm’s way. This was a funny prank.
Agreed.
What is good natured about this?

Thank you for saying that.

A good prank will have everyone enjoying it.
They gave free beer to everyone they pranked in this video, and although we can’t know for sure, the dude seems to be in high spirits at the end.

So sad. I hope you see the light some day.
You’re a bully. I hope you find some non-toxic relationships someday.
Thanks.
