Obviously i’d choose my tail.
It does kill you quickest, doesn’t it? Head or heart.
I think if you get shot it the heart you’ll still be alive, just like when you get your head cut, but getting shot in the brain will probably destroy any thoughts
yeah, just heart is easier to miss.

“I like my women like I like my coffee: UP THE BUTT!”
“If you could be shot” like it’s a privilege or something.
Idk about where you live, but it’s a god damn right here in Americuh.
Ammo’s not always cheap, though. A free shot to the head is a pretty good deal if you were going to pay for it anyway.
A free shot to the head? In this economy?
I’ll take two.
I’m guessing very close to head, but right about the top of an ear.

“Incoming message from the big giant head!”
Man, I loved Third Rock the first time I watched it. Now the canned laughs kind of ruin it for me, and I miss enjoying it like I did.
Gonna steal this now and watch it on vacation. Thanks for the memberberries

Straight up, right in the apricot
Police snipers need the capability to hit the junction of the brain and brain stem at extended distances. Hitting and destroying this point at the back of the human head with a single bullet causes the person to instantly and completely collapse without reflex. Snipers call this spot “the apricot.”
Yup. Boom. Done. No pain. To sleep, perchance to dream
I’m feeling somewhere in the arm.
100% somewhere in the arm (like assuming this isn’t in some test lab where “the ear” can be consistently guaranteed).
- Foot would likely be serious, lifelong pain when walking.
- Leg is extremely dangerous for bleeding out. Like maybe if I could get immediate medical attention it wouldn’t be terrible, but there are still better options. (Plus avoids an accidental shot to the knee.)
- Abdomen is obviously not a first choice.
- Head and neck are obviously going to be the worst, and I even mean that in the sense that a shot to the head isn’t inherently some insta-kill. Lots of ways to hit the brain that completely debilitate you for life.
- Hands seem like a great way to fuck up the nerves and have dexterity trouble for the rest of your life.
So arm it is, preferably right because it’s further from the heart.
i think i would choose the calf. its similar to the arm in terms of potential bleeding out, but it doesnt effect your ability to work lots of jobs or use your hands. the really big arteries in your legs that risk bleeding out are for supplying your thigh muscles so they dont go all the way down to your calves. best case its a flesh wound and you recover fully. worst case you lose your foot and lower leg. theres always the risk of losing anything that gets shot, whether from damage or infection, and id rather lose part of a leg than anything else.
Honestly super fair re: bleeding out. I was considering the thigh there and forgot to mention my problem specifically with the calf, which would be chronic pain. I know that comes with getting shot anywhere and especially in the limbs (sort of Sophie’s choice if you want to gamble on the distal or proximal for the arms), but I figure the problem for me wouldn’t be potentially losing the leg as much as it would be feeling pain every time I walk due to the pressure. If anything, the shin protecting the tibial nerve makes it seem like you wouldn’t be all that likely to lose sensation.
I’m not seeing the butt cheek on here :(
If it hits the brachial artery in your arm, you’re not going to have a good time either.
Fair point. I’d still prefer the right arm*, but I think you could reasonably debate distal or proximal. Proximal has less chance of hitting the brachial artery and surrounding major nerves, but if you do hit them, you’re in bigger trouble than in the distal – where the median nerve and the brachial artery have split, making it easier to hit something but for that individual hit to be less severe.
* Another comment mentioned your glutes, which, yeah, fair if you could hit it from the side-on (and be fairly accurate, otherwise ouch, that tailbone).
I’ve seen somewhere that a morbidly obese person could stop a small caliber with just their belly fat before the round gets to anything marginally important.

Wait but isn’t the gut a pretty okay place?
The gut is notoriously one of the most painful places you can get shot. It’s fairly “safe” overall with antibiotics and prompt medical intervention, although it would carry a higher risk of infection. Plus hitting a kidney seems like a pretty severe complication. So I think I’d rather take the arm.
Edit: Plus possibility of hitting the spine. oof, ouch, owie
Lol no. Very no. Getting gut shot is a wonderful way to die slowly and in agony.
