I donate to Disroot because I use their services and increase their costs, but otherwise I don’t donate to charities from the Global North. I highly prefer donating to charities and social movements in Brazil or other BRICS countries. It is more efficient because of the cost of living. Also, I don’t want to bolster the economy of countries that kill and rob the Global South.
I also partially boycott their commercial products.
If you’re in the global north I think it’s very understandable to help local first, but as someone from the global south I’m very thankful for this nonetheless
