I think we would have gotten more details, but I don’t think Enterprise was ever ready to declare the Federation starting, and then really go forward. I give Discovery a lot of props for taking the series in a wild new direction. I guess technically the Federation doesn’t really reinvent the galaxy overnight, but even such a tentpole moment is a season finale and then some.
