    86-91% of Japanese households have air conditioning, including almost every single business of any kind. In France, it’s less than 25%, and it’s probably not at all rare to work, shop, and just generally spend time somewhere without it most of your day.

    Heck, if it’s anything like here in Finland you probably still have a bunch of older hospitals around that aren’t properly air conditioned either yet.

    It’s not hard to figure out why the numbers are 6000 to 1.
