I really liked the first season and felt it ended in a satisfying way. I’m not convinced another season will improve the story, but I will probably give it a shot.
Same, I thought for sure it wouldn’t be renewed/was a standalone series. I guess it must have done quite well. At least the second series seems to have been co-written by the original author, so even though it’s not an adaptation of a novel it will hopefully feel consistent with the first.
