    Yeah, that tracks. Without fed-wide IP blacklists or something, I suppose it’s really easy to just instance hop and be a dick. Or spin up your own and be a dick.

      Allow me… To create a frontend framework that just hides content you don’t want to see… Maybe even a feature that hides users too… I’ll add in some keywords…

      …federating block-lists is actually an interesting idea. Instances already federate posts, comments, communities, and users. An instance could publish a public block-list, and admins of other instances could “subscribe” to block-lists across the fediverse that they trust, reducing some of the redundant labor of each instance’s admins maintaining their own separate block-lists. It’s kind of a similar idea to ublock origin’s various filter lists.
