Cloudflare stats also seem to support peaks of 15% usage but around 9-10% on average. In the United States alone, the market share for Linux is nearly 12% now for the whole month and Cloudflare stats suggest peaks of up to 25% (!) Linux desktop usage on certain days and times.
The trendline suggests this is just the start. When will companies realize they cannot ignore Linux anymore?

If I had to guess, some ChromeOS browsers masquerade as Linux PCs
They aren’t using desktops, if this can tell the difference between desktop/laptop
When people talk about “desktop” market share they’re essentially saying “not phones/tablets”
Looking at https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share/ it looks like they only have categories for desktop, tablet, mobile, so presumably laptops are included
I took that to mean the difference between server and consumer 🤷♀️
If that’s the case Android (Linux) blows the ratio massively
