Für die CDU Deutschlands ganz klar: Es gibt keinen Völkermord in Gaza, wir stehen an der Seite Israels und der Ukraine im Kampf gegen den Terror und Aggression.
Wir stehen für Freiheit und wollen uns verteidigen können, damit wir es nicht müssen. Daran wird sich nichts ändern
Wir stehen zur Meinungs- und Kunstfreiheit, doch auch hier gibt es Grenzen - mindestens aber muss die Kunst mit deutlichem Widerspruch leben
For Germany’s CDU, it is crystal clear: There is no genocide in Gaza; we stand with Israel and Ukraine in the fight against terror and aggression.
We stand for freedom and want to be able to defend ourselves so that we don’t have to. That will not change.
We stand for freedom of expression and artistic freedom, but there are limits here as well—at the very least, art must be able to coexist with clear dissent.
Nobody is more convinced of the genocide in Gaza than me, but I can still recognize the knife edge Germany has to walk in any response regarding Israel, ESPECIALLY when it’s about GENOCIDE! That’s a no-win situation, if there ever was one.
OTOH, who could have predicted that Israel’s takeaway from the Holocaust would be to Pay It Forward.
