The major problem with this show for me is that it no longer has any likable main characters. I guess that’s the point, but it makes it less interesting than it otherwise would be. I wouldn’t say I’m entirely apathetic yet, but I increasingly feel like this will be a very forgettable show once the dust has settled.
I’ve heard the same thing about Succession, but I thought that show was excellent.
I won’t spoil anything but after the season three finale last night (episode 8), it’s clear who you’re supposed to root for, and it’s not a character you’ve rooted for in the past.
To use Game of Thrones as an example, look at season one Jamie Lannister. You’re not supposed to be on his side. Now look at late seasons Jamie Lannister. You’re probably more on his side.
