    I still get carded often when I buy NA beer. Often the cashier will even acknowledge that it’s NA but say that they still have to card me.

      I think a lot of it is due to stupid shop policies. I have been refused sale of a teaspoon for not having ID.

      I always thought it was because there is alcohol in it still. NA beer I thought was classified as .5% or less. So legally they are still regulated.

      Alcohol free is 0%. Edit: This might not be true either, I just saw saying alcohol free may also have alcohol up to .5%

      I quite enjoy ‘Supermalt’, a malt drink with NO alcohol. It has a large warning for 18+ on the shelves at Tesco, yet I’m not carded on checkout.
