Votes reflect values. Votes are how we choose leaders, which cause direct impact on people’s lives. And I see no problem with, say, a trans person cutting off someone who voted for leaders who consistently dehumanize them and seek to destroy their access to medical care.

Not to mention, a vote is never just a vote. It’s also years of arguments at the dinner table, snide insults, and other terrible behavior.
