    For real. I was not walking around with a libertarian chip on my shoulder. I had moved away from it, but seeing real jobs really changed that. My “public” jobs at the university had me reporting and recording a lot of what I did. Keeping track of grant money was a pretty serious deal. Having a job later in the private sector you can slack off a lot more. Pretty much every lazy government worker stereotype was there and kind of magnified. Every now and then I notice something else that is in conflict with the idea that unregulated capitalism is a good ideal.
