Eight years ago I asked this question and I was told to get a ClipperCreek, and I bought one and I never worried about it for eight years until it just broke. Apparently the contactor went bad and it does not look easy to repair.
Ao I went to buy another Clippercreek, only to find that they appear not to sell lower amperage chargers any more. And I don’t recognize any of the other brands I can find.
So, nowadays, what is a good reliable brand for a 24A (for plugging into a 30A receptacle) level 2 evse ?

Not sure about reliability, but the fact that you can fix it for all time, and no company shutdown can ever stop you from using it makes it the number one option in my book.
