It’s nice that it can be repaired and I really respect what the company is trying to do which is why I bought one in the first place. My complaint is just that it experienced random hardware failure that renders it unusable just outside of warranty and the only option that was offered is buying an expensive new mainboard.
A Thinkpad offers 3 years warranty on parts and you can pay for up to 3 more, that’s 6 years they warrant their motherboard won’t blow or melt any fuses and if it does you can ship the laptop and they’ll fix it
He also mentionned that their warranty is pretty short.
I understood the message like he was complaining that everything is falling down just after warranty, which is not what you would expect from Framework.
So your complaint is that your warranty expired and they had parts you could buy to repair it?

It was out of warranty. That’s how warranties work.
It sucks that it died earlier than expected, but they can’t stay solvent just letting people get replacement parts outside of warranty for free.
