The solution would be better platform handling of duplicate/crossposts with user-controllable options for priorities, but it takes effort and time. I just learned to accept that I’m gonna see the same posts back to back a lot, though it still is a little annoying when someone posts it like 8 different places simply cuz I gotta scroll a lot.
This feels silly.
Is your solution for them to just never crosspost? So they pick one community and never share with anyone on an instance that is defederated?
If the problem is they are cross posting to similar communities you’re subscribed to, why not just… unsubscribe from the duplicate communities?

Why would you unsubscribe from a community you like when blocking a single user and still using the community makes much more sense?
