    Asshole.

We share the road, you’re in a one-ton murderbox, and I am not. If I get hit, it is always your fault.

Come driving in Finland some time for an education in humility. Here, no pedestrian is watching for oncoming cars, phone or no phone.

this is absolutely bullshit, like a quarter of drivers in finland don’t respect the zebra crossings and everyone except for suicidal idiots check their surroundings before crossing the street

you’ll get hurt sooner or later if you don’t check if a car is coming

more on my other comment cus this is the second time this person has repeated this dumb claim

Well, as long as you are using the crosswalk, you indeed have the right of way and the driver is required to yield.

But I don’t know what magical city you live in, as Finnish drivers definitely do not consistently follow that law - 60% of pedestrian injuries happen on a crosswalk, as do one fifth of deaths. Go walk across Helsinki without checking that the car actually will yield for you, and you’ll find yourself in the hospital in 15 minutes.

What a moronic claim, when a distracted pedestrian suddenly walks into the street completely unexpected, that is 100% his own fault, and he is putting not only himself at risk, but also others.
You have clearly not been driving a car and experiencing this.
