Go Ukraine!
I’d really like media like BBC here to interrogate Ukraine’s claim that companies like this are valid military targets. What specifically are they claiming? How accurate are those claims? What actually are these Russian companies? The answers to these questions address whether Ukraine is embracing a strategy of terrorism or not, which is kind of important to understand. The reluctance to report on these details here and earlier with Wildberries is troubling.
Russia can solve this problem tomorrow by withdrawing their invading forces from the sovereign country of Ukraine that they viciously and brutally attacked unprovoked in a disgusting and cynical attempt to return to Soviet-style regional hegemony. Everything that is happening to Russia is directly the fault of Putin and his corrupt oligarchic “government”, and a direct consequence of their brutalist authoritarian regime.
The only reason that Russia continues to destroy itself in Ukraine is because Putin has stupidly reconfigured Russia’s society, economy, and military for a meaningless war that they are woefully incompetent at fighting, and are now completely mired in. He must continue grinding away an entire generation of Russia’s citizens just to avoid collapse and internal regime change.
So, the next time you want to whine about the successful and justified tactics Ukraine uses to repel a brutal regime that bombs schools and hospitals, why don’t you preface it with the reason as to why Russia is doing this to itself.
Yes, the imperialist USA should withdraw from the Middle East as wel. Israel should cede Golan Heights, which belong to Syria
And the colonialist USA should leave the Americas.
Yes, and while we’re at it, China should leave Taiwan alone. Fuck at this rate we’dolve the world problems. It’s almost like all flavors of imperialism is bad
different cases
Soviet-style
shut up libtard, theres literally nothing like soviet union that russia is doing. Soviet Union was SOCIALIST, Russia is CAPITALIST (which liberals wanted). Stop blaming faults of capitalism and liberalism on soviet union.
Uh-oh, ML is leaking again.
This was already argued extensively. Basically what happens is the standard infantry gear every Russian soldier is fitted with sucks. No armor plating (or if there is, it’s fake), shitty weaponry, shitty helmets if at all. Hardly any cooking gear or anything at all really.
Now, second to understand is that the Russian army is basically a racket from top to bottom. If you start at the bottom, sucks man. You get extorted and people beat the shit out of you regularly.
So why Wildberries? When you’re conscripted into the army (and yes, conscription does actually occur quite regularly now in Russia) you’re going to need… stuff. To survive. Helmets, armor plating, a drinking tin, anything at all to survive basically. For yourself? Perhaps. If you’re Lucky. Most likely though your commander will beat you into buying it for him and he’ll pawn it off to someone else.
This has created a massive market for military gear to be sold by webshops like Wildberries where they sell armor plating, vests, jackets, boots, helmets, camping gear, med kits, you name it. It has essentially become a grey market.
That’s why Ukraine is claiming these are legitimate targets. They are, after all, supplying the Russian army in a way. Whether you agree with that stance is up to you, but that’s what their argument boils down to basically.
Edit; and to add: if Russia does not want Wildberries to be a legitimate target, it is also incumbent on them to make it not a legitimate target by restricting the sales of military gear for example. It is up to Russia to keep military and civilian strictly separate but as we know from Russian actions like using schools, hospitals and even a nuclear power plant as storage and/or staging areas for future assaults,
they don’t give a flying fuck about the distinction between civilian and military. Any claim from Russia that these are ‘not legitimate targets’ will inevitably be met with every single fucking civilian target that Russia has hit since the start of this war, from apartment buildings to train stations to a guy on a market with a fucking vegetable stand being hunted by a drone. So don’t come asking stupid questions and acting sanctimonious here and accusing Ukraine of these things while ignoring Russian actions.
Well “if Russia does it, so can we” really turns this into an even worse quagmire huh? I’m not in denial of the reality of war, but I won’t be supporting any side of the same atrocity. I have nothing but disdain for anyone who enlists.
Still that’s kinda weak argument. Those items are bought privately? So it’s not used as legit military command IT infrastructure like amazon aws or microsoft? I’m sure it will be different in the international courts, if they had any teeth. How could Ukraine ever justify “selling helmets and first aid kits to civilians” as a legitimate target…
They also sell things like drone components that have a much more direct military use. Besides, damaging Russia’s economy is a worthwhile goal by itself.
The contention isn’t that they’re selling things to civilians, but that they’re selling things to members of the Russian armed forces, which they’re then using as supplies in combat. They’re part of the military supply chain in an unofficial way. I’m not sure it’s 100% cut-and-dried, but it’s clear reasonable people could call that a military target, and I’m inclined to think they’re probably right.
That’s right. “Members of the armed forces” not the armed forces per se. Cops also buy stuff out of their own pocket right? I go to the same stores to buy stuff too. We’re all civilians there. What we do with the things we buy is not the store’s business. I just don’t think the case has a leg to stand on, in court. Russia will just say they have nothing to do with it, if there’s no proof.
Concern troll.
oh no, labeled by a shitposter. how can I ever recover
OK here’s another one: transparent Russian propagandist.
Seriously, nobody is falling for it.
You could start by reading the room and then not simping for Russia.
I respect shitposters a lot more than anyone could ever respect you lmfao
There has been massive investigations and evidence of them supplying military equipment and using the platforms to skirt payment sanctions and restrictions
I’d really like to see the Russian intelligence that has them attacking purely civilian infrastructure and shopping malls. I doubt either of us will see either. But considering what Russia is doing and has done. I’m not that worried about it.
thank you for feeding my block list.

So, bigot, does every critical post belong to a Russian bot or a Russian? Is everyone who criticizes Ukraine or the Western world a Russian bot, Russian spy, or Russian agent?
So, idiot, where did I say any of the shit you’re accusing me of? Is everyone who blocks obvious troll accounts a bigot?
on second thought, don’t worry about answering. you’re going to feed my blocklist too.
