    There’s still a lot of setup and “registry” fiddling required after installing Linux as well. Especially if you have weird chips without proper drivers.

    Anywho. Two sides of a coin.

      There can be depending on distro, which is a whole other really awesome thing about Linux is that you’re not locked into one flavour.

      Everytime I have installed Ubuntu recently though it’s always worked almost flawlessly with no need to adjust drivers. Using both Dell, hp and lenovo devices. It’s definitely so much more consumer friendly these days that there is little reason for people to stay with Windows
