I agree!
The way that I combat this is that I have my own domain and make a trash@yadayada.something and that’s all they get from me.
I can get the verification link and the rest goes to a box called “the void”. The void auto deletes every night.
Same but with Addy.io
I do wonder though. With device fingerprinting being what it is (and I’m only learning how deep it goes) I imagine it would be fairly easy to say all @yadaya.something are all the same person, and not individual people.
I do a lot to stay anonymous/blend in (so many different threat models) but I wonder how much it does if they jsut know anyway.

I find this really therapeutic for some reason.
It really is beautiful.
Stick to Z-Wave and ZigBee products only and come join us in the wonderful, free land of Home Assistant.
So… I got a zigbee outlets bar because I want to control some stuff independently, and apparently the firmware does export its 5 switches at the zigbee interface, but will relay any command into all of them unless it detects you are using the app that goes to the cloud and requires an account…
The shit is in all IoT, not only on the WiFi stuff.
Gotta do it the other way around, check for HA compatibility before buying
It claims HA compatibility, because the switches work (just all at the same time). Also, no device publishes information on the firmware or hardware details so that you can check an HA maintained list.
I think you might have posted to the wrong community.
Shitposting has become a catch-all community.
Why?
People here love making accounts for light bulbs?
probably smart bulbs where you are lazy and need a app to turn it off or on.
Yeah! And it thoughtfully stores my credit card info and auto-charges me when I change the hue! It’s such a convenience!
/s just in case…
Because this isn’t shitposting, it’s just a legitimate frustration.
I 💩post with accessibility, minus bloat:

Look at you growing up beep and citing the content creators.
It’s so much more aesthetically pleasing that way.
I’d agree if it was under unpopular opinion, but a shitpost can be something everyone agrees with. It’s just low effort, both the post and usually the replies.
I feel shitposting has to have an element of trolling, either by being ostentatiously low effort or low quality, purposely offensive, obviously being said in bad faith, etc.
Politely stating something that most people agree with is just posting.
It would be more fitting in mildly infuriating.
Because this community isn’t for complaining about things.
So are you saying this post is shit?
