    What size are those shots? Just about every country has its own shot size, and “a beer” could be .33l or .5l.

    That said, I experience similar effects even if I make sure that the alcohol amounts are equivalent. Something about beer makes it go right to my head, unlike spirits. IIRC both sugar content and carbonation increase the speed at which alcohol gets absorbed, but I don’t get this effect with longdrinks, either. Maybe it’s just placebo …

        damn dude

        I got nothing, even assuming .5l beer with 5% ABV, those 7 whisky shots have seven times as much alcohol as 2 beers.

          If I drink it’s usually in the evening. Like this weekend sat down to watch a volleyball game had 3 beers. Feel asleep before the first set ended at like 8pm.

          Next night about 4 mixed drinks in a hour. Just whiskey diet coke and about 2 after. Had a good buzz managed to stay up until 2am

          This is maybe at most once a month
