I mean it’s an absurdly good medicine, and the first time we’ve had a harmless way to prevent overeating, which causes incalculable misery.

Someone described it as turning off “food noise,” so you’re not constantly hungry. Now we need a way to put exercise in a pill.

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head… how much of these “benefits” are just natural outcomes from losing weight? When the body isn’t fighting all the extra weight, it can naturally heal itself more efficiently.

Not everyone’s brain works like yours does. How about you try being less of a callous dick?

Not an option. Being a callous dick that tells you the blunt truth gets better results than prancing around being gentle with feelings and shit.

Lol oh, I see what the problem is, you lack basic empathy, and are too stupid to grasp the greater context and understand why what you’re saying is asinine. My comment might get removed for calling you stupid, but honestly if we are avoiding “prancing around being gentle with feelings and shit” as you put it, I’m just gonna be blunt. You’re a dipshit. Do you even know what thyroid conditions can cause?

Neurological issues can’t be helped. Like ADHD I could do some things that sucked all day every day, but checking the mail? Nah. Mowing the lawn, why? Like I have to do laundry for societal reasons. But I needed help to do the boring day to day shit that keeps you a “functioning member of society”.

A lot of people have self control in one way but not another. For me, I became diabetic because my ADHD is like “meh, you’re not hungry, no need to eat.” Then I’d get lightheaded and “oh shit, I need to eat or I’ll die, put quick calories in me NOW” causing my blood sugar to spike, then it’d normalize, then drop too far before I spiked it again. I never got fat, so in your mind I had self control when I really didn’t. After research, meds and some talk with the doctor my diabetes is under control, and I’m eating healthier because berries are just as easy a snack as say a pretzel snack pack, or easier than ramen.

I’m betting there’s some part of your life where you’re not in control, so don’t be so quick to judge on someone else’s struggle.

Self control can be as easy as just refusing to purchase junk food in the first place, and then you have no alternatives but to get your ass up and make yourself a real sandwich.
