    Its a shame they’re consistently failing to revitalize the franchise but I get it. TV in general was a lot cheaper to make when they were coming out, hence the incredibly long seasons.

    Cheaper to make means you need less of a pre-existing fanbase to justify taking the risk.

    I hope they have the balls to just go for it some time. They’ve wasted cash on way worse premises.

      So something to cosndier: why don’t they make it cheaper?

      A lot of the TV people fell in love with, and that companies are trying to remake now, were low cost productions.

      They didn’t go for big name stars, they didn’t go for big budgets. They focused more so on writing that helped create a good product.

      That seems to be out the door now.
